We spent most of the week on construction related tasks. We got the basement floor poured and a lot of the material arrived. Next week they will seal the basement walls and backfill. After that they will be able to excavate for the reset of the house. They will also start on the sill and floor construction, immediately followed by setting up the Rcontrol (SIP) panels.
Other items we worked on during the week included:
Design and selection of the kitchen, mud room and bathroom cabinets and fixtures.
Meetings with the well driller. The well is in place but we had to firm out specs on the pump, etc.
Meetings with the plumber to select fixtures.
Meetings with the electric company to spec and start installation of the electrical service.
Visits to several flooring facilities and final selection of flooring.
Visits to appliance stores to see what was available.
Discussions about, and selection of, the siding type and colors.
Annual Homeowners Association meeting.
Meetings with other subcontractors to verify specifications
We also rented a storage unit.
All in all it was a very busy week.
We did get to the park late Friday evening. We saw the normal cast of critters including three black bears and two grizz in the Hayden Valley.
We are going to the Tetons for the weekend, returning to Yellowstone late Sunday.
