This is a short update from my October trip to Livingston.
This has not been one of my better trips to the Yellowstone Area. My eyes have been giving me a lot of trouble. I have double vision when I am driving. That is somewhat alleviated by wearing an eye patch. I also have problems taking pictures as my right eye is dominant and I have to use my left eye now.
The septic system is in and the ground work is complete for the season. There will some additional work next spring.
The exterior lights and some of the interior lights have been installed. The heaters have been installed but are not functioning. They will be tied into the Smart Wiring system which will be done later.
Some minor exterior trim work is in progress and will be completed before our November trip.
The initial painting is finished. There is still some interior trim work to be completed and then we will be able to finish the painting.
The floor tiles have been installed but we had some major problems with the grout. Our water reacted with the dyes in the grout and it came out snow white. That is not acceptable so the grout was removed. New grout was installed using city water. That delayed the next steps several days.
The kitchen appliances have arrived and will be installed after the cabinets are in place. They will be installed at the same time as the counter tops.
We were able to lay out some of the base cabinets. The cabinet work will continue this week and then the counters will be installed.
There is additional plumbing and electrical work that will be accomplished after the cabinets are installed.
Our next trip is scheduled for November. Deb is coming out for part of this trip. It is very hard for her to have to stay at home when I come out. We will have the bedroom furniture and washer and dryer delivered during the November trip.
